The History of a Period

The Human River (146 x 102 cm - 1989)

Heroica (80 x 100 cm - 1990)

A nebulous cloud in movement scatters in the cosmos a number of heroes, that is to say great and powerful men, while several suns are distributed through space.

A human river flows through the misty cloud, coming from afar, giving an effect of perspective with the symphony Heroica. The music is blended into the pictorial and plastic play. The setting is Lebanon, with its mountains, forests and rocks. The colors of the crowd and of the soil blend and form a whole. White and yellow dominate alongside the brown of the earth, some red and some shades of blue. This is one of the works executed during the war of liberation of the years 1989-1990, and is an anthem calling to the defense of Lebanon’s sovereignty, liberty and heritage.
